2019 Resolutions – First Update

Catch all of random things that make me smile…
Time for an update! 2018/2019 I set myself four resolutions… so let’s have an update! First up, the most successful of all the commitments – 50 Parkruns!
So… it’s been a while.
In early 2012 I bought my first (and currently only) flat. Given that it was an empty flat and I was in rented accommodation it took a ridiculously long time, so by April I was desperate to move in… the day I was due to exchange I had a crazy afternoon with expensive scarves!
In October 2013 I went to Cambodia for a week on a charity trip with Action Aid to help build a library for a small village outside Siam Reap. The trip was organised by my old company as part of their Giving Something Back initiative, so everyone on the trip was from the organisation. There is a lot of backstory for this one…
Very quick post today to say a big hello to my boyfriend on YouTube… he has started vlogging to promote positivity and motivate and inspire others. I’m so proud of him and ย can’t wait to see what he achieves!
It has been a trying week. At some point I will write about it all, but for now I’ll just say that I start a new job in 3 weeks and that I am very much enjoying my garden leave from my old employer. In the meantime a weekend away with good people (and happily completely unconnected to my work) was a definite good thing. There was much drinking, and even more laughter.
My peace lily went on some adventures when I had to move out and move back in – a friend took good care of it, but when I finally picked it up it need some love. After a slightly ruthless trim, some plant food and a lot of water its come back to life with a new flower ๐
